Parents: Don't forget to sign the Homebound Instruction page each day and keep copies of those, thank you.

Great job on your torn paper collages Lucas, Emma and Dana!

NOTE TO STUDENTS: (knee-mail) Please take time to pray each day. While we pray together as a school community each morning, we pray often as a class and in different ways.  Every single day since you have been in my classroom, before you have snack in the morning and you say your little prayer, I ask you to put your heads down on your desks. I say to you, “take a moment to thank God you are healthy enough to be here today. Ask God to send comfort to someone who you think might need it.” If it is raining I usually say something like, “thank God for days when He gives the Earth a drink.” (yes, I hear your quiet giggles and that’s okay, God doesn’t mind quiet giggles) I tell you to thank God for your snack and to be mindful of the children in the world who might not even get clean water that day. Then we are quiet for a few moments and I want you to know I watch you. I see how reverent you are, and how much you mean it when you pray quietly by yourself. Don’t stop that when you are home. Keep praying. Yes, say the all the prayers we have learned, but also take the time to talk to God by yourself. He is listening.

(e-mail) With your parent’s approval, using their email account, if you would like to write to me, I will answer one email from each of you each week we are out of school.

Journal: In an effort to keep up with writing skills, I’d like students to write a paragraph about their day. You can do this at the end of the day or you can do this at the beginning of the day and write about yesterday. Use any paper available to you. Remember to use capitals and periods and to write complete sentences. Read what you wrote when you are done and self-correct!
