St. Mary Academy is a place where children learn, grow, love and serve as disciples of Christ. We are supported by our five sending parishes:
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (Whiting), St. Theresa (Little Egg Harbor), St. Pius X (Forked River), St. Francis (Long Beach Island) and St. Mary's (Barnegat). Our Catholic identity is what makes us who we are and we believe it is our role at St. Mary Academy to educate the whole child, which begins with our faith in Jesus Christ. Our school is known for its family environment, which we pride our-self on, working in partnership with our parents, a child's primary educator. St. Mary Academy welcomes students of all faiths into our family.

At St. Mary Academy our Catholic curriculum aligns with the Diocese of Trenton and is implemented in our Religion classes, as well as cross-curricular in all subject areas. It includes but is not limited to:

Daily Prayer-starting and ending each day with the focus on our Lord, saying Grace before meals, and at all special events

Mass- Our entire school (PreK-8th grade) attend Mass together at least once a month and all Holy Days of Obligation

Mass Participation- Students assist with the liturgy as Altar Servers, Lectors, Gift Bearers, Leaders of Song and Ushers

Special Religious Events: Recitation of the Rosary, May Crowning of Our Blessed Mother, Stations of the Cross, Agape Prayer Service, Reconciliation Services during Advent and Lent, Mass buddies (our PreK and Kindergarten students are paired up with our Middle School students to model for them and teach them during Mass)

Outreach into the Community- Our Student Council organizes events throughout the school year to raise awareness and money for different needs within our community (Light It Up Blue for Autism, Move for Hunger Food Drive, the Johnny Sileno Foundation and Christmas toys and clothing to Ocean County's Children's Protection Agency to name a few) in addition to the school wide Tag Days (fundraisers for local charities, for example Birthright in Barnegat)

Our Christmas Pageant- a play demonstrating the true meaning of Christmas and culminating with the story of the Nativity

Our school is adorned with religious articles which help us keep our focus on our faith (statues, icons and crucifixes)
