FLEX Lunch Program
Grades 4-8
Students in Grades 4-8 have the opportunity to participate in a variety of clubs during lunch period. This enables the students to engage in activities that appeal to them, explore new hobbies, and socialize with like minded individuals regardless of their age.
Ecology Club Students learn about the environment and work in the schools Green House and Hydroponic Gardens.
Drama Club Students will learn and practice acting, singing, dancing to gain experience in stage production. The club culminates with a performance of a play or musical.
Digital Art Club In the schools’ Mac lab, students will create and design various digital art projects using a variety of applications.
Robotics, Drones, and More Students will design, build, program, and even fly various types of technological devices in a cooperative learning environment.
Leaders of Song Students come together to sing at Mass, pray, learn, and gain an understanding of the Church and the Liturgy.
Chess Club Students will learn strategies of chess and compete against each other during this Flex period.
Crochet Students will learn basic stitching techniques and will build up to creating potholders, scarves, hats, and more.
Strategy Games Put your thinking cap on with this Flex class designed to enhance critical thinking skills. Games such as checkers, backgammon, and strategic card games will be played.
Ace Achievers Students will have the opportunity to achieve great success in this Flex class. Researching, homework, and projects can be completed during this time.
Fitness Each trimester a different fitness class will be offered. Strength training, flexibility, and agility skills will increase activity and wellness.
Cup Stacking This popular club has the students working on agility, concentration, and quickness while participating in this trendy cup stacking activity.
Set Design This seasonal club will work to design and create sets for the Drama Clubs plays and musicals.
Lego League Robotics Club Students will learn and explore basic to advanced STEM activities and apply their skills in exciting challenges.
Digital Jeopardy Like the TV Show, this educational and fun digital version has the students answering questions on various topics.
Exploring Weather Students will use scientific observation to track and report weather. Students will utilize a green screen to create weather reports with graphics and data. Weather data will be used to understand and interpret climate patterns.
Basketball Students can work on skills or play full-court basketball on either the indoor or outdoor courts.
Volleyball This popular flex has the students practicing bumping, setting, and completing on the two outdoor four-square volleyball courts.
