2nd Grade celebrated Catholic School's Week playing JEOPARDY!
We had 3 teams, colorful buzzers and LOTS of fun!
Everyone won a prize and EVERYONE congratulated each other on a job well done at the end. :)

Catholic Schools Week!
Sunday (January 28th) ~ Officially begins Catholic Schools Week ~ Mass Speakers for 2nd grade are Dashiell and Regina-way to go!!
Monday (January 29th) ~ Crazy Hat/Hair Day will take place. Students should be in their PE uniforms. During Religion classes, 2nd grade will be writing thank you notes to Stafford EMS as part of Service Day.
Tuesday (January 30th) ~St. Mary Academy will host Touring Tuesday from 9:30-11:30 for pre-registered prospective families ; Students should be in their regular school uniform; Students participating in the Showcase will be setting up their tables and all students will have an opportunity to visit their tables throughout the day. An Evening Open House and Student Showcase will take place from 6:30-8:00pm.
Wednesday (January 31st) ~ Wacky Wednesday for students in grades 1-8. Students can wear inside out and backwards clothes or 70's and 80's clothes as long as they are school appropriate and non-restricting. The PTA will provide afternoon snacks for the children.
Middle Grades Mingle: New this year, Grades 1-5 will spend an hour mingling and playing various games.
Thursday (February 1st) ~ We will host the Class of 2024 versus the Faculty in the annual Volleyball Match Up. Students should dress in their favorite St. Mary Academy spirit shirt, PE uniform or PE bottoms, SMA Team Uniform, and sneakers.
Friday (February 2nd) ~Things slow down a bit as we conclude Catholic Schools Week. The 6th graders will lead us in Mass at 11:15am. Dismissal will be at 12:45pm. All students should be dressed in formal/Mass uniform. EDP will take place from 12:45pm until 5:00pm.

Monday Dec. 4: Kids Kastle Christmas Shop will be open for children to purchase gifts for family members. 2nd grade date to shop will be announced soon.
Friday Dec. 8: Immaculate Conception Mass at 1:15 p.m. Children must be in formal uniforms.
Monday Dec. 11: Pizza form due for pizza lunch on Thursday 12/14.
Tuesday Dec. 12: Our Lady of Guadalupe Prayer Service at 1:15 p.m. 2nd grade will sing the Magnificat at the end of Mass.
Wednesday Dec. 13: Makeup pictures or redo pictures. Please make sure to send in your order form for makeups and for redo pictures send back your photo package. Formal uniform is required.
Thursday Dec. 14: Pizza Day!
Friday Dec. 15: TAG Day! Wear red and green to support St. Bernard's Food for Pets. Please send in a $2.00 donation in an envelope or baggie labeled with your child's name and TAG day on bag. Please label ice cream money and place ice cream money in your child's lunchbox.
Saturday Dec. 16: Ugly Sweater Run. Please follow Facebook and school emails for more information.
Monday Dec. 18: 6th - 8th Grade Chris-Math. Open to all at 6:30. A fun experience for all!
Tuesday Dec. 19: Christmas Show Pre k- 5th grade at 6:30 p.m. Children arrive at 6:00. Please refer to Ms. Coyne's email from 11/27.As we get closer I will send out more info as well as confirm dress up attire which most likely will be red and black Christmas clothing, preferably red on top black on bottom.
Thursday Dec. 21: Christmas Mass at 1:15 p.m. Children must be in formal uniforms.
Friday Dec. 22: Early Dismissal at 12:45 p.m.. EDP in the afternoon will not be available.
